According to the NBU, tourists from Europe spent $ 181 million in Ukraine, which is 15% more than a year ago.
At the same time, residents of Russia spent $ 92 million in Ukraine, which is 37% more than in the second quarter of 2018.
The NBU cites data from the State Border Service, according to which 3.538 million foreigners visited Ukraine in the II quarter of 2019, which is 4.6% less than a year earlier (3.708 million people).
At the same time, the number of tourists from the EU countries grew by 1.5% to 1.133 million people, from the territory of Russia – by 1.9% to 0.436 million people.
Recall that earlier tourists broke the record for visiting the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
A new record of attendance at the Chernobyl exclusion zone was set: for eight months of 2019, almost 75 thousand tourists visited the zone.
