571308[1]The information of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia about almost double the cost of holidays in sanatoriums and resorts in Belarus is unreliable, said Gennady Bolbatovsky, director of the Republican Center for Rehabilitation and Sanatorium-and-Resort Treatment of the population of Belarus.

At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that the same pricing was ensured for both Russians and Belarusians in all health resorts of Belarus.

According to him, fluctuations may be due to exchange rate differences, but insignificant. “According to the results of nine months, the cost of one place in a standard double room in health resorts of Belarus amounted to 55 Belarusian rubles ($ 26). Last year, this figure was 51 rubles ($ 24). Nothing will change significantly by the end of 2019”, Bolbatovsky said.

The Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus also denied information about the rise in price of rest in the country’s sanatoriums by 100 percent in recent years. They suggested that in the case of vacationing Russians, a weakening of the Russian ruble against the dollar and the Belarusian ruble could play a role, while emphasizing that this is not a significant increase in prices.
