From 9.00 on September 2 to 9.00 on September 12, the airport “Kyiv” named after Sikorsky will stop receiving and releasing airplanes in connection with the scheduled maintenance of the runway. There will also be a partial repair of taxiways No. 1 and No. 2.
All flights for this period will be transferred to the airport “Borispol”. The main airport terminal has already developed a concept for the distribution of flights and is now receiving requests from airlines for flights. It is also noted that difficulties with receiving additional flights are not expected.
Representatives of the tourist industry, of course, are not delighted with this news. At the same time, they note in travel agencies that it could be worse: in September there will not be such a large number of tourists with children as in summer. Although passenger traffic is still quite saturated.
