Terms of visa-free travel to the Sinai Peninsula has been a change.

Earlier stamp Sinai only, which was placed in the arrival hall, allowed to stay on the peninsula to 15 days, and for extended stay, you should pay for a visa. Now it is not enough.

Under the new requirements, a free Sinai visa is issued only for 14 days.

If this period is exceeded, in addition to having to buy a visa (visa fee is 25 dollars) each offender to pay a fine of 1,053 Egyptian pounds (the equivalent of about 62 dollars).

According to insider information, such harsh measures were the result of the influx of large numbers of illegal immigrants, who often come to Egypt just across the Sinai Peninsula.

Official statements from the Egyptian authorities on this matter was not yet, but the agencies noted that it is necessary to bring this information to the tourists.
